20 (not scary) Halloween prompts for youths
I firmly believe in Halloween. But I know that all of the gore and scary movies are not for everyone, especially young children.
However, Halloween is for everyone! There is so much more to the celebration than fear of jumping and fake blood. And I think we all need a little lightheartedness this year.
Let your kids try one of these prompts (or try it yourself)!

Children may have a hard time getting involved in Halloween this year. So why not get excited with a little creative writing for the vacation? Maybe combine these prompts with some Halloween activities at home to improve the spirit of things.
(I know I would love to mix a potion or "ride" my broom around the house. Unfortunately, I think my dog and husband would think I finally lost him. I could take that risk.)
