TK Maxx goes goat for Christmas

When this year's Christmas advertisements appear, Wieden + Kennedy brought a cheeky little goat with them in a TK Maxx advertisement celebrating the act of giving to spread the joy

Matthijs van Heijningen directed the advertising campaign, which tells the story of an enthusiastic farmer who has dressed his goat in a colorful designer ensemble. “She's had such a tough year, she deserves it if you ask me,” he says when questioned by his amazed wife.

It is a wise nod to the challenges of 2020 when one acknowledges how difficult the past 12 months have been without delving too much into them.

The goat, which the creative directors of Wieden + Kennedy, Hollie Walker and Cal Al-Jorani, describe as a "symbol of hope" is undoubtedly lovely and it is a relief when a Christmas advertisement is fun and playful.

The campaign will be shown on television as well as in print, digital and social.
