Voice Tech has seen a monumental rise in recent years and has now become a de facto member of many households. The latest numbers show that smart speakers are present in more than half of households, which makes them more common than tablets. In the past year, more than half of smart device owners used voice commands more than once a day.
An obvious driving force behind the continued adoption was Covid-19, where people evaluated homes and were willing to invest in technology to improve their facility, while also being aware of how isolated relatives can feel more connected. But make no mistake – this is not just a Covid fad, but a new facet of technology that, much like the smartphone, is intertwined with our daily lives.
