Coke releases a pleasantly comical soundtrack from Tyler the creator
The new ad is all about the feeling a Coke gives you, which leads to wild brow pops and dancing
Tyler, the creator's track made specifically for the spot, is over two minutes long and sets the mood for the entire ad. The characters take a sip of Cola before being forced to move their bodies.
The emphasis is on the simple pleasure of a cola and marks a change of direction for the brand, away from the more serious tone it has taken on lately. These included an ad with George the Poet posted last summer thinking about how our lives could change after the pandemic, as well as a recent personalized campaign where customers could post messages on Coke cans for a better year . In contrast, this spot is all about fun.
While Tyler, the creator's contribution to the ad, feels like being on the cutting edge, ad watchers might find the movements in it somewhat reminiscent of the classic Levi & # 39; s Twist ad, but without some of the more disgusting limb contortions, which can be seen at this point.
