Philip Ok Dick's brief tales are being redesigned
A limited edition, four-volume collection designed by La Boca includes fluorescent envelopes and dozens of new illustrations
The lavish new set published by The Folio Society, the price of which is supposed to appeal to superfans for £ 495 per set, comes in its own presentation box and contains 118 stories by the American author.
Dick, who died in 1982, is perhaps best known for his novel Do Android's Dream of Electric Sheep, but his short stories We Can Remember It For You Wholesale and Minority Report have both been turned into films.
La Boca designed each of the cloth-bound books to have neon-colored margins to contrast their fluorescent covers, as well as a flawed pattern for the inside of the box they come in. The stories are used as display fonts in Mentor with Futura.
Twenty-four different illustrators have also added images to the collection, all in different styles, including some retro-futuristic sci-fi versions.
