Crimson Nostril Day's 2021 marketing campaign explores the facility of a superb snigger
Advertising agency Pablo created a series of posters and a film for Comic Relief's Funny is Power campaign, all of which highlight the ability of humor to bring people together
With events going on, it's not surprising that this year Comic Relief is celebrating the way laughter, smiles, and silliness can bring people together regardless of their differences.
The campaign film, directed by Sami Abusamra, starts off pretty seriously – voiced by Dame Judi Dench and focused on the many things that separate humanity. But it loosens around the 40-second mark when actress grabs Benedict Cumberbatch and a Henry vacuum cleaner.
The campaign also includes a series of posters in bright reds and yellows that repeat the message “Funny is Power”.
It is reminiscent of Comic Relief's Wise Words campaign from 2019, which also addressed issues surrounding the division – albeit in a much more serious tone, and without the witty punch line of this year's effort.
