Discover your individual management fashion

It can be tempting at times to adopt a leadership style that you appreciate in a boss.

Would you like to be that amazing motivational guide delivering killer presentations at the sales conference? Or the CEO who knows how to determine the numbers in the shortest possible time? Or how about this executive with the classic, open-minded style where everyone circles around him? All of these personality traits can be beneficial, but you'll waste a lot of time if you aren't, and your team won't respond if they know you are inauthentic.

Be yourself

Remember, you don't have to be the loudest person in the room to gain respect. Instead, be yourself and know your leadership style. Understanding yourself can help you maximize your effectiveness while remaining true to your values and approach. A desired goal is to show more than yourself in the workplace.

Do you know which personality type is a more effective communicator? Extroverts or Introverts?

And the envelope goes to … both of you. Either style can be very effective if you tackle the typical downsides. Here's what we know:

  • Introverts I think they communicate more than they actually are. However, the quality of their communication is high
  • Extroverts are the opposite. They communicate frequently, but the quality of their communication is usually poor

Introverts, take note and increase the frequency of your communication. Extroverts work to improve the quality of your communication.

Either way, this is stylish advice for any leader.

What is your leadership style?
