Guinness celebrates the reopening of UK pubs with a captivating new advert

The beverage brand's classic slogan, Good Things Come To Those Who Wait, has rarely felt more appropriate than now, as Guinness is launching an ad to welcome the return of drinking in UK pubs

After a long period of lockdown, Britain is slowly beginning to emerge with the cautious reopening of hospitality, art and other places for socializing. Next week is a big moment on the schedule as pubs and restaurants are set to host punters again. Considering the weather in the UK lately, this will make a huge difference to the outside experience.

To mark the occasion, Guinness published a new advertisement. On the classic track Always On My Mind, you can see a sip of Guinness all over town – in socks on a clothesline or in a white cat napping on a black trash can – before the original comes into view in a pub with friends.

The #LooksLikeGuinness campaign follows a £ 30 million commitment from Guinness to UK pub and hospitality companies last year through the Raising the Bar program, which has supported over 25,000 pubs and over 30,000 PPE kits across the world Great Britain has delivered. The brand also announced a £ 1 million pledge to help bartenders with the first pandemic, showing its commitment to helping the industry.
