Let's not neglect, Cephas Williams says within the poster marketing campaign

The founder of photo project 56 Black Men has launched a campaign to honor George Floyd, Breonna Taylor, Ahmaud Arbery and other victims of police brutality and racial injustice who "failed to make a hashtag".

Cephas Williams has launched a nationwide campaign, #LetsNotForget, that was launched following the recent murder of George Floyd and a flood of other police brutality cases in the United States that killed Breonna Taylor, Ahmaud Arbery, and many other African Americans.

The names of these three people appear on billboards across the UK, while other displays simply read "Let us not forget", which Williams wants to use to cause countless other victims in black communities worldwide.

"A big part of the campaign is also to highlight the various other names that don't make it to a hashtag … and the various other injustices that happen to the black community worldwide, that don't make the headlines and … never get justice," Williams said in an online shared video.

"One of the biggest problems we face when it comes to why no changes are made is that we forget," he continues. I'm sorry, "he said in a BBC interview. "It's not about being silent for a day or doing Black Out Tuesday – it's about what you will do in the future."

Williams has continued to use his platform to raise problems related to black injustice. His previous 56 Black Men photo campaign was about how black men are discriminated against in the UK, and he called for wider media coverage to eliminate harmful stereotypes.

"For me, every industry – or the one I can think of – must reflect the community that serves it," he told CR last year. "The media serve a diverse community, so I think they should reflect a broad viewer, and that's not the case at the moment."
