McDonalds Canada advertisements remind folks to deal with themselves when transferring

Moving is hard work. One of the main destinations is the moment when you finally arrive at your new property and enjoy a take-away meal to celebrate. This will be a familiar feeling around the world, but is particularly significant in Quebec, Canada, where traditionally most residential property leases end on the same day, July 1st.

This means that an average of over 100,000 households in the province pack their belongings and move into their new homes on what Quebecers refer to as “moving day”. That event recently included a campaign by McDonald & # 39; s Canada, launched by advertising agency Cossette, which transforms the contents of vans to look like McDonald & # 39; s meals ordered through McDelivery can.

To create the posters, the team decided to use photography and make the sets real instead of creating them digitally. The process can be seen in the GIF below, but every object used has kept its original color and is used to create a more charming series of images than if everything had been edited in Photoshop.

The posters also aim to tell various Moving Day stories that helped define the objects featured: the execution of the fries was inspired by a young man who moved into his first apartment in a trendy neighborhood in Montreal; When the Big Mac was executed, a family with children moved to a suburban home. and the Egg McMuffin spot featured a young couple moving into their first home.
